For use with CIVCO Assist Positioning Arms

The Radiolucent Stretcher is a rigid and versatile stabliling platfrom designed for the CIVCO Assist Positioning Arms. Engineered from a radiolucent material, this stretcher is ideal for any imaging environment. The unique design of the stretcher features 26 attachment points around the perimeter of the stretcher, allowing physicians to mount and position instruments virtually anywhere in relation to the patient. The stretcher can accommodate the Positioning Arms and other attachment accessories offering additional flexibilty during patient procedures. The stretcher nests into standard CT patient tables and is stabilized on the CT patient table by silicone strips running the length of the stretcher on the underside. The silicone strips provide high friction contact with the CT patient table preventing unwanted movement during procedures. The stretcher also may be secured onto flat surfaces other than CT patient tables by using the Stretcher Stabilizing Feet. The carbon fiber stretcher, weighing 28.5 lbs (62.7 kg), can hold patients up to 350 lbs (159 kg) and makes supine transfers simple and efficient. The stretcher is non-sterile and may be cleaned by wiping all surfaces with germicidal wipes or alcohol. Included with the stretcher is a Vac-Pac mattress for added patient comfort and stability. The mattress molds around the patient to hold them in position for procedures. Each mattress is filled with thousands of tiny plastic beads. When a suction line is attached to the mattress, a vacuum is created inside, causing external atmospheric pressure to force the beads together. This pressure is retained by sealing the valve, allowing the firm mattress to retain the molded shape. After the procedure, the valve is opened and as the air re-enters the mattress, it becomes soft again, ready for reuse. When properly applied, the mattress minimizes the possiblity of the patient developing pressure point injuries. The mattress conforms to the shape of the patient's body, allowing even distribution of the patient's weight and support from the body's bony prominences is avoided. The mattress measures 21" x 76" (53.3 x 193.1cm) and is latex-free. Required items include suction or pump source, suction tubing and a five-in-one connector. The mattress may be cleaned with any common liquid disinfectant or can be gas sterilized. Patent pending.
