BX2™ Needle Guidance System
For use with Toshiba PVT-382BT transducers
CIVCO’s Needle Guidance System utilizes a two-part system consisting of custom reusable bracket and the disposable snap-on needle guide called BX2. This uniquely designed single-angle bracket offers clinicians two choices of angle for puncture by simply selecting one of two BX2 inserts. Easy-to-read angles on the guide make it simple to identify in a darkened ultrasound suite. The BX2 needle guide incorporates flexibility and advanced features to increase productivity during ultrasound-procedures such as tissue biopsy, fluid aspiration, catheter placement and other treatment procedures. Once the proper angle is placed in position, users are able to select the appropriate gauge insert, choosing from 8.5FR, 14-23GA (19GA not available). The gauge insert features a large funnel for easy instrument insertion and a tab for quick-release function, allowing easy detachment of the needle from the transducer. Sterile procedure kits contain; BX2 needle guide, transducer cover, gel packet and colored elastic bands. Brackets should be cleaned and disinfected according to your CIVCO User’s Guide.
