VirtuTRAX™ Instrument Navigator
For use with GE Healthcare's LOGIQ E9 ultrasound system with Volume Navigation Technology
VirtuTRAX™ offers the next advancement in image guidance by tracking the instrument tip using electromagnetic technology and real-time navigation in the interventional suite, allowing physician’s safe and precise placement of instruments during each procedure. This two-part system consists of VirtuTRAX, a sterile disposable hand-held device and a reusable general purpose electromagnetic sensor. Compatible with imaging systems with navigation technology, this intuitive device allows physicians to more accurately track the tip of any rigid instrument such as biopsy needle or RFA probe as it is being directed to a targeted anatomical area. In the case of ultrasound, the instrument is inserted into the patient and the tip location is displayed in real-time on the ultrasound screen. Ideal for ablations or in small lesions that are deep or difficult to access, the system offers physicians a dynamic anatomical roadmap, allowing access to previously difficult locations. VirtuTRAX is designed for single-use and is packaged sterile. GE Healthcare’s version of the device accepts 10-14GA instruments. Device calibration is required prior to each use. US Patents Pending.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- Offers improved accuracy in small lesions that may be deep, difficult to access lesions.
- Reduces technique variability providing a shorter learning curve and reduced procedure time.
- Single-use design reduces risk of cross-contamination and increased productivity with ease and safety.
