CIVCO Medical Solutions Donates Over 160 Hours of Community Service Across Area
Kalona, Iowa, USA – Associates at CIVCO Medical Solutions have been active in company sponsored community service days throughout this summer. During June and July, associates have contributed to two Habitat for Humanity builds, spent two days helping at the Crowded Closet in Iowa City, and assisted at the Washington Paws & More Animal Shelter. CIVCO has southeast Iowa locations in Kalona and Coralville, and CIVCO associates of one year are encouraged to spend one paid day per year participating in local community service projects. CIVCO associates have donated over 160 hours of community service so far this year.
Adam Nace, Customer Service Representative, appreciates CIVCO’s commitment to being a part of the communities the company is located in. “I am extremely grateful to work for a company such as CIVCO, that realizes the importance and see the vision of community service and the impact it can have on the community,” said Nace. “Volunteering reminds us that there is something bigger than our own needs and that we are here to help one another and to be an encouragement to our neighbors.”
The community service days also give associates an opportunity to build relationships with people from different areas of CIVCO. “I volunteered at the Crowded Closet with three other CIVCO people,” said Shannon Webb, Senior Technical Communications Specialist. “We worked on pricing, cleaning and placing the donated items on the sales floor. It was a lot of fun to have an opportunity to work with others from CIVCO that you don’t normally work with all day long.”
CIVCO will continue to organize community service opportunities throughout the fall.
