For use with Siemens BP9-4 ultrasound transducers. This easy-to-use endocavity needle guide is designed specifically for prostate biopsies, making it quicker and easier for physicians to complete the required biopsy regimen. The unique biopsy guide allows users a curved path for access to the prostate while improving functionality for faster, more confident biopsy. The reusable guide offers an 11.6-degree curved biopsy channel and allows 18 gauge and smaller instruments to pass. To reuse the needle guide, follow standard cleaning, soaking and sterilization procedures as specified in your system manual. When using this guide, a minimum 11.2cm (4.4") needle is recommended.
Allows needle insertion parallel to the imaging plane, promoting needle visibility during transvaginal or transrectal ultrasound-guided procedures. 7
Ensures intracavity procedures can be performed quickly and inexpensively. 2
Aids in accurate sampling during targeted prostate biopsy. 5
Enables transvaginal biopsies of pelvic tumors for diagnostic purposes. 7
Enables accurate and safe transvaginal ultrasound-guided FNA to assist in diagnosis and management of small, deep pelvic lesions. 6
Allows accurate (transvaginal) needle or catheter placement.2
Enables minimally invasive drain placement in the management of tubo-ovarian abscesses. 3
Transvaginal ultrasound-guided aspiration has a very high success rate as a first line procedure.4
