Case: Tumor Biopsy
Featured Product: eTRAX Needle Tip Tracking System
The patient presented with a difficult-to-see lesion using conventional ultrasound. Access was aided with image fusion and the use of eTRAX Needle Tip Tracking through a non-acoustic window. Image fusion using CT and ultrasound data sets was possible with Volume Navigation technology. Needle tip tracking was useful for continuous visualization of the needle tip.

CIVCO eTRAX Needle Tip Tracking
In this difficult case, the electromagnetic eTRAX needle tip can be visualized in a precise position as it enters through a non-acoustic window. In addition to improving access in small, difficult areas of the anatomy, eTRAX allows a projection of the future needle path. The on-screen guideline reveals the direction of travel with N representing the actual needle tip.
