CONSIDERATION FOR USE
Patient presented with pancreas carcinoma with liver metastases. eTRAX is useful for visualization in non-neoplastic liver tissue.

APPROACH TO EXAMINATION
Images demonstrate needle tip tracking was quite useful as it allowed biopsy through the non-neoplastic liver tissue. It is believed this avoids bleeding as liver tissue has conventional vessels and tumors have neoplastic weak vessels. This has been shown in a small number of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
